It is that time of year again when we start preparing for Operation Christmas Child!!
·        Plan to join us on Sunday, October 30, right after morning service.

o   Bring a sack lunch and meet in the fellowship hall
o   Gather as many shoe boxes as you can and bring them with you!
o   Bring Christmas wrapping paper, tape and scissors
o   If you are able, purchase items to put inside the shoe boxes for both boys and girls ages toddler to teen.  The Dollar Store and Walmart are great places to shop.
§  Items must fit inside a shoe box
§  No guns or items depicting war
§  No liquids

o   Suggested items, age appropriate! All items must be new.
§  Small cars
§  Balls
§  Crayons and coloring books
§  Small puzzles
§  Hard wrapped candy such as peppermints
§  Gum
§  Small dolls
§  Colored pencils
§  Barrettes, hair ribbons, etc.
§  Toothbrush and toothpaste
§  Hair brush/comb
§  Small notebook
§  Pens/pencils and small pencil sharpener
§  Small calculator – solar powered
§  Wash cloth and soap
§  T shirt
§  Postcard of Colorado
§  Etc.
 
You get the idea!!  It would be great if we could fill all the shoe boxes we wrap on the 30th!!   There will be additional boxes available from Operation Christmas Child for those who are unable to join us.  This event will be hosted by the Fanner Bees, but we are inviting everyone in the congregation to join us in this project.
